Here is how I got started in woodcarving. In November 2012, I was invited by my good friend Diane to try woodcarving. My reaction was that I didn't have the time but she insisted because she was sure I would be good at it. I bought the carving tools and a block of basswood. Back home with no instructions, I drew a Santa Claus on the wood and then tried my knives. When I looked up, it was 3 a.m. and I felt like I had just started. That's when I fell in love with woodcarving and I've never looked back. I am so grateful that my great friend believed in me. It became a great passion, I would even say an addiction!
