My mother

My mother's 100th birthday was in 2018. In 2017, I wondered what would be an appropriate gift for such a special mom. Why not a sculpture of her. I searched through my photos and found one where she was making "poutines râpées", an Acadian dish she loved to prepare. The sculpture represented a year's worth of work because when I showed it to her, even with the dementia she suffered from, she could recognize herself with great emotion. It was priceless!
